Meet Debbi Czapla
Hi! My name is Debbi Czapla and I am one of the first grade teachers here at St. Paul Catholic School. I earned my B.S. and M.S. degrees in Elementary Education from Calumet College of
St. Joseph and Purdue University respectively. I also hold my Life License in teaching with more than 20 years experience.
Over that time my philosophy of teaching has evolved so that while I treat all children equally, I am aware of and appreciate their uniqueness. As teachers we are responsible to educate an entire class, yet recognize that the children can be radically different. Its not uncommon for first graders to range from 6 to 8 years old. These differences in maturity levels, and learning styles, often require some students to receive more one on one assistance while others can thrive in a group setting. To ensure each child's success, my teaching style will vary on a case by case basis as we work together towards second grade and beyond.
